Strictly speaking, Amber is not a crystal at all. It is tree resin that became fossilized. It is golden brown or yellow-green and can be opaque or transparent with insects or vegetation trapped inside. It is found in Britain, Poland, Italy, Romania, Russia, Germany, Myanmar and Dominica. It has strong connections with the earth and is a grounding stone for higher energies. Amber is a powerful healer and cleanser that draws illness away from the body to promote tissue renewal.
